5 Things to WATCH OUT for at a NIGHTCLUB
1 Shot sizes – watch out for waiters pouring triple / quadruple shots in your glass from the bottle you have ordered. This is a classic trick they use to make your alcohol run out quicker and then you being left with no option but to order another bottle.
2 Chargeable mixers – in recent years Redbull has become a chargeable mixer. You may find your waiter leaving Redbull next to the bottle for you to use and then telling at the end of evening that the Redbull was chargeable. Always clarify which mixers are free and which are chargeable.
3 Shisha – many clubs in Marrakech and Barcelona serve shisha. The shisha cost will NOT count towards the minimum spend of the table. The minimum spend is to be used on purchasing alcohol from the bottle menu.
4 Taking away drinks – some waiters may have a tendency to take away half consumed drinks. Get the waiter to pour the drinks you need and then wait until you have finished before he pours another round. Again this is just to make your bottle finish quicker.
5 Free mixers – normally the club will give you 2/3 different mixers per bottle you order. The mixers are normally in jugs of 1L. This should be enough to cover the full bottle. The club will charge you for mixers if you order an excessive amount and/or your alcohol has run out.
